Tyra Tate

Tyra Tate is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience serving youth and families. A native of Miami, she is a dedicated community activist who has collaborated with numerous coalitions and non-profits within Miami-Dade County. Her roles include serving as a board member for the Nyah Project and the Together for Children Community Coalition.
Tyra is affectionately known as “Mama C” and is the proud mother of two adult children and a grandmother. She wears many professional hats, including Certified Professional Life Coach, National Board Certified School Counselor, Consultant, Entrepreneur, Certified Sexuality Educator, and Mentor. Recognized as a humanitarian, Tyra is passionate about serving in any capacity.
With extensive training in trauma, grief, and wellness recovery, Tyra adopts a holistic approach to support children, youth, and adults, ensuring they thrive. Her ultimate goal is to foster well-being and resilience in those she serves. She finds joy in the simple things in life and embraces a philosophy of “adulting with child-like wonder.”
