Shakyra Lawson, LCSW

Shakyra is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She obtained her Bachelor and Master of Social Work Degrees from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Much of her experience includes advocating for adolescent mental health. She is a former School Behavioral Health Counselor and School Social Worker. Additionally, Shakyra has worked with children and families as a Psychotherapist providing parenting psychoeducation, couples and co-parenting therapy, as well as individual therapy addressing anxiety and depression.

 
As an entrepreneur and Licensed Braider, Shakyra began her hair-braiding business at the age of 19. She has successfully trained and employed multiple new Braiders while matriculating through college and working a full-time job. 

Understanding how challenging ‘adulting’ can be, whether you are 17, 27, or 57, Shakyra aims to help you compartmentalize life’s strifes so you can get back to you! Shakyra’s passion as a mental health professional includes helping individuals, couples, and families reach their fullest potential as it relates to understanding their mental health and daily functioning.
